Children Rights

Children

The evolution of culture is ultimately determined by the amount of love, understanding and freedom experienced by its children. It is said that “Where children are, there is the golden age”. Children are always the only future the human race has. But it also cannot be denied that at present, all these facts are being neglected. Children are seen begging, picking rags, or doing juggling on the roads. Then what should we expect for our own future? Children are the most valuable resources and we are wasting them by keeping them deprived of their rights. We all need to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond our wildest dreams. Each child is an opportunity to change the old pattern and make it new. Believe every empathic act that helps a child become what he or she wants to become, every expression of love toward children heals society and moves it in unexpected, wondrous new directions. The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but of those who look on and do nothing. Remember failures are divided into two classes- those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. Taking initiatives without the fear of failure is better than regression. Let us make our lives adventurous by supporting a child in need and ensure our forthcoming generation a bright future.

Their Ambitions

Ambition is a burning desire to accomplish something. Ambition is enthusiasm with a purpose. Ambition is the generator that powers motivation and instigates the will to achieve. But the way children are seen begging, picking rags, or doing juggling on the roads, what we can think of their ambitions. Do they really know the word “Ambitions”? Do they really know what do they want to achieve? We all know the answers. Ambition is important because their determination is what will shape our future. Ambition builds a student up and completes them into amazing human beings. A man without ambition is like a beautiful worm--it can creep, but it cannot fly. When we are ambitious, we have a vision. We envision our life a certain way. We dream of our future and hope to aspire to our dreams. These children are needed to have some visions. They need society to show them the way to achieve something. They need motivation from society. Ambition is enthusiasm with a purpose. Ambition is the germ from which all growth of nobleness proceeds. And society needs to have such ambition.

Their Rights

What does 'Children's Rights' actually mean? Does it mean you can do what you like, behave as you like, and no one can stop you? Hmm, you wish! Seriously though, Children’s rights include the right to health, education, family life, play and recreation, an adequate standard of living and to be protected from abuse and harm. Children’s rights cover their developmental and age-appropriate needs that change over time as a child grows up.If you are reading this, chances are that you already have your basic rights – you are alive, you are protected, you are getting an education, and you have a chance to express yourself and be heard. But you know that not all children in this world have these rights. You have seen such children around you, and you feel not so good about it but it also cannot be denied that society publicly or covertly ignores such children and their needs. They are kept deprived of their basic necessities like medical treatments, nutrition, development and the most important “Education”.

Their Education

Education entails that its subjects acquire a variety of knowledge. It begins with the acquisition of elementary knowledge—that is to say, literacy—on the part of the youngest members of society. At this stage, children learn to read and write. This is an essential stage which will permit the child to pursue his/her education by integrating secondary and post-secondary instruction. Education also consists of a form of learning that is necessary for the development of one’s personality and identity, as well as his physical and intellectual capabilities. Education has as its ultimate objective the improvement of a person’s quality of life. It offers to underprivileged adults and children a chance to escape from poverty. It is thus an essential tool for the economic, social and cultural development of all populations around the world. Although education is a right, it still remains a distant dream for many of India’s children. It is clear that it is not enough to make laws; they need to be augmented by more efforts. Education should be accessible to all if society is to succeed.
